Carnival Cruise Line announced on June 4, 2026, that it will mark the United States' 250th birthday with a sweeping program of onboard celebrations, military tributes, and community events spanning late June through early July. The centerpiece is a July 4 gathering of seven East Coast ships near Celebration Key, the line's new private destination on Grand Bahama Island, where passengers will watch a coordinated fireworks display from the decks of Carnival Venezia, Carnival Elation, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Glory, Carnival Pride, Carnival Sunrise, and Carnival Freedom.
On the West Coast, three ships will position near San Diego to give passengers a view of that city's Big Bay Boom fireworks. Community events aboard ships will also take place in Baltimore on June 28, Long Beach on June 30, and in both Jacksonville and Tampa on July 2. Carnival is also sponsoring the Virginia Sail250 Fireworks Show in Norfolk on June 20 and the Miami-Dade County Independence Day celebration.
Onboard, ships are receiving patriotic "From Sea to Shining Sea" bow crests, with Carnival Magic and Carnival Legend already displaying the new design. Themed food and drinks include a branded craft beer called "America's Cruisin," specialty cocktails, and red, white, and blue deck parties. Select ships will carry large patriotic inflatables on open decks.
