Security
How we protect your account and data — from encryption and trusted infrastructure to payment security and responsible disclosure.
Our approach
Keeping your account and data safe is a priority at Royal Radar. We design the product to collect only what we need, rely on reputable infrastructure providers, and apply sensible safeguards throughout. This page summarizes the main measures we take. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.
Encryption
Traffic between your browser and Royal Radar is encrypted in transit using TLS (HTTPS). Data stored by our infrastructure providers is encrypted at rest. We never ask for, store, or have access to your Royal Caribbean account password or reservation details.
Infrastructure and providers
We build on established infrastructure providers that maintain their own robust security programs, and we apply least-privilege access on top of them:
- Database & hosting. Our database and application run on reputable, industry-standard cloud infrastructure. Access to your data is enforced at the database level with row-level security, so users can only reach their own records.
- Cloudflare provides bot protection (Turnstile) on our authentication and contact forms.
- Stripe processes all payments. See Payment security.
Authentication and access
You can sign in with an email and password or with Google. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes — never in readable form — and password reset is handled through verified email links. Sign-up and sign-in are protected against automated abuse by Cloudflare Turnstile. Administrative functions are restricted to authorized staff.
Payment security
All billing is handled by Stripe, a certified PCI Service Provider. Card details are submitted directly to Stripe and are never stored on, or visible to, Royal Radar — we only keep your plan, subscription status, and billing history.
Your part
Security is shared. You can help protect your account by:
- Using a strong, unique password, or signing in with Google.
- Never sharing your login credentials with anyone.
- Staying alert to phishing. We will never email you asking for your password, and we never ask for your Royal Caribbean login.
Reporting a vulnerability
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, we want to hear from you. Please email hello@royalradar.app with the details and steps to reproduce, and give us a reasonable chance to investigate and fix the issue before any public disclosure. We appreciate responsible disclosure and will work with you in good faith.
