Royal Caribbean has confirmed December 31, 2026, as the opening date for Royal Beach Club Cozumel, a 42-acre property located about 20 minutes southwest of the Cozumel cruise piers by shuttle. The site is the third addition to the line's Royal Beach Club Collection, following Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, which opened in Nassau in December 2025, and Royal Beach Club Santorini, which opened in April 2026.
Unlike Perfect Day at CocoCay, entry to the Cozumel club is a paid day pass booked as a shore excursion. The design includes a North Beach and a South Beach, a main pool area with a swim-up bar, a food hall called The Mercato serving Mexican specialties, plus water sports such as snorkeling and kayaking. Royal Caribbean has said the project is expected to create around 2,000 local jobs in Cozumel over 20 years.
The club is positioned to become the anchor experience for Western Caribbean itineraries from Galveston and Florida ports. Royal Caribbean's chief product innovation director has said closing the appeal gap between western and eastern Caribbean itineraries is a core goal. The company has also signaled ambitions to grow the wider Royal Beach Club Collection from three confirmed locations to eight by 2028, with Antigua already announced as a future site.
Passengers on Cozumel sailings before December 31 will not have access to the club. Anyone considering booking a late-December cruise specifically to be among the first guests should factor in that new destination openings can shift, and Royal Caribbean's own consumer page still uses broader 2026 language without pinning a guaranteed day.
