Royal Caribbean has again pushed back its return to Labadee, now confirming that no ships will visit the private Haitian destination until at least July 2027. The cruise line cited continued monitoring of conditions in Haiti by its Global Security and Intelligence team, and said it is communicating all itinerary changes directly to affected guests.
The suspension has now been rolling for well over two years. Ships last called at Labadee as part of a scheduled port stop in April 2025, and the line has been rerouting affected sailings to Nassau, Grand Cayman, San Juan, and Bimini as replacement ports. Earlier this year Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas made a brief unscheduled stop solely to drop off humanitarian relief supplies, with no guests permitted ashore.
The U.S. State Department continues to list Haiti at Level 4, its highest warning, citing violent crime, kidnapping, and limited law enforcement presence. At least eight ships across the fleet, including Legend of the Seas, Adventure of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, Independence of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas, and Star of the Seas, have already had Labadee removed from upcoming 2027 sailings, with replacement ports confirmed in guest emails.
