Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas has returned to active sailing after completing its long-planned Royal Amplified refurbishment. The ship re-entered service following an extensive multi-million-dollar refit that included upgrades to staterooms, dining venues, entertainment facilities, and safety systems. The refurbishment revamped the pool deck with The Lime and Coconut bar, added new waterslide concepts and an Observatorium escape room, refreshed the staterooms, and added new cabins.
Liberty is now sailing Northern Europe and the Mediterranean from Southampton in summer 2026, before repositioning to Galveston, Texas for Western Caribbean itineraries. The ship was one of three Royal Caribbean vessels to receive spring 2026 upgrades, alongside Ovation of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas, with the package including new bars, restaurants, suites, and pools. Harmony and Ovation, both marking their 10th-year anniversaries in 2026, each also debuted new Ultimate Family Suites during their makeovers.
The newly amplified Harmony of the Seas now offers over 20 dining venues and an expanded casino described as the largest in the fleet. Passengers who had been watching prices on the older version of Liberty will find the post-refit ship is effectively a different product, particularly for the Europe season.
