Royal Caribbean has confirmed it will not call at Labadee, its leased private resort on Haiti's northern coast, for the remainder of 2026. The cruise line extended the pause citing continued safety concerns, with the decision backed by a U.S. State Department Level 4 "Do Not Travel" advisory for Haiti that also prompted the FAA to extend its ban on U.S. aircraft operating in or around the country.
The suspension is significant in scale. Royal Caribbean last docked at Labadee in April 2025, and the resort had already been closed for much of 2024. The line holds a lease on the 260-acre beachfront property through 2050, making the multi-year absence financially noteworthy.
Guests booked on affected sailings have been notified by email that Labadee will be replaced by alternate ports including Nassau, Grand Turk, and Cozumel. Royal Caribbean has said itinerary changes are being communicated directly ahead of each sailing. The line remains the only cruise operator that visits Haiti.
