Royal Caribbean collected a string of industry recognitions in 2026 that cement its lead in the mainstream cruise category. Star of the Seas was named best cruise overall in the first-ever PureWow Travel Awards and also secured a place on Conde Nast Traveler's 2026 Hot List for best new cruises in the world. The Icon-class ship debuted in August 2025 and this is its third major travel award since launch.
In the Newsweek 2026 Reader's Choice Awards, Royal Caribbean took four of the top seven spots in the best cruise ships for families category, with Star, Symphony, Oasis, and Anthem of the Seas claiming positions one through four. The line also won best mainstream ocean cruise company at the Travel Weekly Globe Travel Awards in London, a title it has now held for 19 consecutive years.
Additional recognition came from The Points Guy Awards, where Royal Caribbean was named best cruise line for families and best cruise line loyalty program. Royal Caribbean also claimed three wins at the Cruise Excellence Awards, including best ship in the Mediterranean for Allure of the Seas, best entertainment, and best brand recognition by travel agencies.
