Royal Caribbean has quietly rolled out two updates to its Crown and Anchor Society benefits, with the most notable change aimed at Pinnacle Club members. On select European sailings, Pinnacle guests are now automatically cleared to go ashore at tender ports through the Royal Caribbean app, eliminating the traditional process of queuing in person for a paper ticket.
The feature, called Priority Digitized Tendering, was communicated to eligible members via email. Royal Caribbean says more ships will be added to the program as the technology expands beyond its initial European rollout. On ships where the digital system is not yet active, the standard Pinnacle priority tendering process remains in place.
The timing is significant because Legend of the Seas, which recently began its inaugural Mediterranean season, was one of the first Icon Class ships to require tendering, and the digital system was partly developed to manage traffic on that larger vessel. The second loyalty tweak, related to single-supplement fares for Diamond Plus and Pinnacle members, was quietly revised in program terms and conditions.
For regular Crown and Anchor members these changes are less immediately relevant, but they signal that Royal Caribbean continues to invest in the upper tiers of its loyalty program as a retention tool for its highest-frequency passengers.
